  Alyssa Leahy
is a queer, community-based activist and artist from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, whose practice incorporates sculpture, serigraphy, installation, painting and digital art processes. Leahy exhibited their work at the Gatehouse Arts Gallery in June 2017 while completing three art history credits in Harlow, England. Leahy is an undergraduate of Grenfell Campus, Memorial University’s Visual Arts program, Corner Brook Newfoundland. In 2017 they were awarded The Maxwell and Emily Mullet Scholarship upon recommendation from the Division of Visual Arts at Grenfell Campus and the Arthur Sullivan Cup award for ‘student of the year’ in April, 2018.
